Couldn't it be like Serebii's Pokemon of the Week, where people write up their thoughts and strategies about the Pokemon?

Ok then, I will try. (Btw, It's better to put the picture and info in the first post) I think metemite is a good pokémon to have in your party, and when it evolves it becomes very strong! It is scary, but very cool

Hey Clicky you should do this it would be great! I would suggest making a list on your intial post of the weekly pokemon and stats! That way you can just edit the same post and would make finding the weekly pokemon much easier! I'm all for the idea! :)

I could write some sort of a bio about a Pokemon's in-game potential for the PotW. Like how Serebii's writers write about competitive potential, but this would just be for battles within PT. Making movesets is a little unnecessary though, since Pokemon don't learn too much at this point.

Here's my take on Metemite, since it didn't get a proper review. I can do this for each Pokemon of the Week if wanted. By the way, when doing a PotW, it'd probably be best to talk about the entire family line in order to keep the information relevant (it'd be pointless to talk about Spickle and Dribbick as two different Pokemon, because the information would be similar). Metemite Rock/Fire Type Image Image Image Info: METEMITE generates body heat by chewing sufurous rocks. It stores thermal energy in the hot coal in the center of its body. Metemite evolves into Astroidus on Lv. 18, which evolves into Cosmite on Lv. 32. Overview Metemite is an offensive Pokemon, specializing in Special Attack and Attack with decent Defense. However, its Special Defense is very weak, and its Speed is lacking compared to other Pokemon. Regardless, it is a solid choice in-game. Focus on its Fire and Rock moves along with moves such as Self-Destruct and Dig and you'll be fine. Review The earliest point in the game where you can catch Metemite is in Obsidian Cave, but you probably won't get one there. However, Metemite is very good in the route after leaving the cave if you bother to raise it a few levels. But most people will catch one in Argite Cave. At that point, it has a decent selection of moves, but doesn't really beat many things in the cave. If you want to train it, you'll have to go outside of the cave and train it there (preferably in the daytime) for EXP. It's best to focus on Mant, Minipede, and Termight as Proti's Osmosis will probably one-shot you. Once it hits Lv. 18 or so, it will evolve into Astroidus. Despite its evolution, it still has a type disadvantage, but can beat a few Rockets that don't use Spickle's family line. Once you leave the cave, it will provide assistance against Alicia's Gussle and Termight, but her Brazon will beat it badly (along with everything else XD) After the second gym, Astroidus' usage skyrockets. The route leading to Clear Lake is rough for Astroidus since it requires Surfing, but having a Fire type is handy for all of the Springling, Webtrix, and Starlit you encounter on the way to Russet. It also does well against the rival, beating her Jark and can beat Worgeddon as long as it doesn't get hit by a ground attack. In addition, the trainers also use a variety of Pokemon that it can also beat with minimal effort, like Welion, Tucore, and Proti. Once you arrive at Russet, Astroidus can beat Rotato and Pillage with minimal effort in the Hideout. However, Krittle and Diabra's Bite attack can take chunks of health out of Astroidus, so you may want to use Potions. If Astroidus has Self-Destruct at this time though, you can use it to defeat Pokemon with a single attack, as Self-Destruct hasn't been programmed to faint the user yet. Finally, Astroidus can basically sweep the 3rd Gym as long as you don't take too much damage from Bluhzard. I'd talk about Cosmite, but odds are you won't get one after finishing the demo unless you focus on it, because it evolves on Lv. 32. In case you were wondering though, it plays exactly the same as Astroidus does, but better It doesn't change much in terms of function, but it does get stronger and can take an extra attack or two. Moveset Good moves for Metemite include Rock Throw, Dig, Flame Wheel, and Self-Destruct. Partners Using Metemite along with a Singet is unwise, as their movesets are pretty identical and is generally redundant. It is best to use Metemite along with Quenchi, as Metemite is a great shield for Fire, Ice, Flying, Poison, and Bug type attacks, all of which Quenchi is weak to. In return, Quenchi can KO Metemite's water counters such as Jurker and Trilobur. Countering Metemite Water Types, any one will do. Jurker, Purpolis, Trilobur, even Proti's Osmosis will do a significant amount of damage to Metemite. Because Metemite is pretty slow and has low Special Defense, it will often succumb to these attacks quite easily. In addition, Rock attacks will hurt Metemite significantly. Spickle is good for this, as its Rock Throw gains STAB and will likely KO Metemite without much difficulty, as it resists Fire moves and won't take much from Metemite's Rock Throw or Rollout. However, it should watch out for Dig. Since Magnitude doesn't work properly, Metemite really has a hard time against any Rock type except for itself. Location In Games Obsidian Cave, Argite Cave.

Special Attack is basically Attack, but for special moves. Because PT still uses a Gen 3 battling system, special moves are any attack that's a Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Psychic, Dark, Ice, or Dragon type. Physical attacks are every other type, so that'd be Normal, Fighting, Bug, Ghost, Flying, Poison, Steel, Rock, or Ground. Special Defense is just how well your Pokemon can take special attacks, while Defense determines how well you take physical attacks. For example, Urich has more Defense than Special Defense (most of the time), so it takes less damage from physical moves than special moves if both atacks have the same power and the Pokemon has the same Attack and Special Attack. To make this clearer, pretend a Metemite had both Fire Wind and Rock Throw (both moves have 50 base power) and had 30 Attack and Special Attack. If it went up against my Cubbear which has more Defense than Special Defense, it would take more damage from Fire Wind because it is special.
