THE WIKI IS UP AGAIN!
So, Pokemon Twilight is going to be available in multiple languages soon, not sure in what version, but we're starting this project now anyway. This project is held at the Pokémon Twilight wiki, also known as Pokémon Twilipedia. The exact project page can be found here. In order to edit it, you'll need an account we need to verify because if we wouldn't have to verify it then we'd get spammed even more. Your account should be verified within 24 hours after its creation. After this, you can edit the page using the "edit" button at the top. Just look for the text you want to translate and translate it in the right box. If you want to translate "Poké Ball" into German for example, look for this:
QUOTE:
{{Translate/entry|Poké Ball|
Translations of this word will then be listed in the current order (English, Dutch, German, French, Portugese and Romanian) and divided by "|". Poké Ball for example is fully translated in all languages, which gives this:
QUOTE:
{{Translate/entry|Poké Ball|Poké Ball|Pokéball|Poké Ball}}
The more contributors, the faster PT will be fully translated and ready to be implemented! If there's any other language you're willing to translate PT into, PM Bouncy Ball or me and we'll add the possibility to translate that too. Even if you think you wouldn't be any help, you can still help by translating all moves using Bulbapedia. Good luck and thanks!

Good luck and thanks![/quote] a word translator that will help with individual words, as well as sentence structures somewhat...but if you translate it directly from english it will look weird. try learning about the intricacies of the language your translating and the culture of there people can help too. also, i would like to see it in Swahili, so i can play it in my native tounge I edited out the quote of the first post

Waitwat we're not going to translate anything with a translating program because of obvious reasons. All translations should be done by people who are decent at that language. If you want to play the game in Swahili, you should help us translating it in Swahili :P Also don't quote a starting post because that's unneeded.

I can translate all that stuff, to Portuguese but I don't wanna be creating an account on Wiki just for that, so, if you want Portuguese, I will go to that page, translate all that s*** in order, and then, send you via PM, or e-mail, or wtv you want, and you post it... ;) I'm Portuguese (From Portugal, not Brasilian Portuguese), so I can translate it to that language, and since PT PT is similar to PT BR, many people from Brasil will find that helpfull too, and easy to understand... So, if you want, just say the word... Just don't make me create an account on Wiki, i'm freaking tired of having to create accounts on every tiny thing I wanna do... That s*** sucks a lot... :/ Good luck on that! But I think it's a bit soon to begin the translation process... :/ The game is nowhere near finish, and it's not even "packed up" with the basic stuff (main Plot, all cities available and that Bigger stuff)... So I guess that if you begin translating now, it will become half-translated in some languages, in the end, because people might lose interest, and just forget the game... :/ You should at least do this: 1.Provide all the city names & route names. 2.Provide all the items that will exist (Of course this part is a bit subjective, because you might introduce new items as you update the game, so, every item that exists so far...) 3.Main sentences & Plot main conversations. (here, same... As you update, we translate). 4.Menu options and stuff that requires the player to Choose between somethings, should be provided too... 5.I don't know what do you mean by translation, but if you want a FULL one, it's gonna be difficult, because of so many conversations in the game. (Item related conversations, wild battles, trainer battles, Gym battles, Rival apearences and all that stuff needs to be translated as well...). If you want a basic translation, with only the basic stuff (still more than what you have in that Wiki page), you're doing just fine so far... :P Still, I'm happy to help, if you want...

Actually, there's nothing wrong with creating an account there, it only has benefits and you don't have to enter your email if I'm right either, but it's easier if you do it in the wiki, because you can directly edit it and I don't have to come in between. And the goal is to translate every single piece of text, so it is a lot of work, but I'm pretty sure anyone who puts effort in it gets rewarded. :) And yeah, I'm still adding stuff to the list that needs to be translated, because it's pretty big obviously. We're also asking for people to make sure they are able to put some effort into it, because half-translated languages aren't really a big help obviously, and we're forcing no one to do it, so it's just something you could do if you want to help and if you have some free time.

Single words can easily be translated without trouble by something like Google Translate. Even many phrases can be accurately translated. It seems the only point to getting people to translate is if they translate whole phrases, rather than single words.

Google doesn't always choose the best word for the situation, as there is usually multiple choices for a single translation.

I'll see what I can do, maybe I'll help... But... Is there any chance that people actualy want to play the game in PT (And I mean Portuguese, not the game name xD)? Or Swahili? I mean, will you actually translate the whole game because of ONE person? :/ French, Spanish, English, Japanese or even Chinese, I can understand... But, Swahili? Portuguese? :/ I don't think that there's many People out there that would find that really helpfull... :/ LOL Just a thought, though...^^,

Any language is helpful. Sure, Swahili wouldn't be used a lot, but if someone wants to put time into it, that's fine. The more languages we have, the better, because if there is a Swahilian guy that plays PT and he finds out the game is in Swahili too, he'll probably be really thankful. I'll add in Portugese support really soon, but may I ask you that if there is anything that also appears in the real games such as move names, item names, battle text etc, and that has appeared in the language you're translating it into (whether it's in the games or in the anime doesn't matter), please use those words/sentences instead of translating them yourself. For example, a Great Ball would be fitting as Greatball in German, but is translated as Superball for example.

I just said that because it's not a piece of cake, translating a whole game to a new language... So, the most reasonable thing should be translate to the most spoken languages first... :/ You know, those more used... And then, maybe add some of those languages... And don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to pick a fight with Swahili, LOL Note that I'm Portuguese, and I've put Portuguese right next to it! I know that it's not one of those Languages that take part in official Game Regions and stuff... That's why I said what I said... LOL But then, I tried to translate, something, but there's no code, that sucks... I will have to write the freaking code for eveything I want to change? Like, if the root code was already there, I'd go there, change the things that are not translated and be on my merry way, but do I have to write EVERYTHING all over again? :/

Please don't make any edits to templates. I added in Portugese support so just add to each item you want to translate "|yourtexthere" before the }}.

Fixed :P For example if you have this: {{Translate/entry|Poké Ball|Poké Ball|Pokéball|Poké Ball}} You turn it into this: {{Translate/entry|Poké Ball|Poké Ball|Pokéball|Poké Ball|Poké Ball}}

The thing is, I don't have any code, when I click EDIT, it shows me a blank board, only! With only ONE line of code and it's NOT what I am expecting to see xD It gives me THIS:

At the very top of the page, there should be buttons called "Project Page", "Discussion", "Edit", etc. Click "Edit" :)

Looks good so far, but note that you have two HyperBolas (one for the Ultra Ball and one for the current PT Hyper Ball), so you might want to use another name for the PT Hyper Ball. Thanks for your help!

Yes, I saw that... :/ But Hyper is a "name" of greatness, so Poke=Normal, Great=Bigger, Ultra=Biggest... :/ Anyway, I guess I could keep the Ultra Ball as Ultra Bola, and Hyper as Hyper, yes... :/ LOL
