how to find sleaf

So I have spent about 2 hours trying to find sleaf in the forest. I read somewhere its like a 1/80 chance to find. Is there some other sort of condition to getting it or am I just extremely unlucky? Any advice would be helpful

Sleaf has been moved to the route to the right of Russet. The guide is somewhat outdated.

Well, Sleaf has been recently move to Route 9, so make sure you're checking there. It used to be in the Farlgrove Forest / Route 2 area, but it was moved due to it being too overpowered that early. Besides that, I'm not really sure what to say. It is rare to find, so be patient

It can be found in route 9 and it's very rare. Its found at lv.21 or lv.22. I found 2 sleafs and I caught one sleaf there. The other sleaf fainted after I fought it.

I found one on route 6, but my Junzu Karate chopped it once and it fainted. I've never seen one since. :(

Yeah, Sleaf is deceptively Grass/Dark, when you'd think it would be Grass/Poison. Can't blame you for that

I found a Algar (I think it is the name of that 1st stage Donkey) and two Parafin's in a 10minute window... Aaaaand... No PokéBall's... Darn it! :/ On the Plus side, I evolved My Mayzie :P

Are you sure that it's really rare? I found two Sleaf's in under five minutes, one next to Clear Lake, and the other in the Maze, both lv. 22's.
