Kabob was supposed to close this until I was done (or more finished), so I'm nowhere near done yet, even with the first entry

If I get stuck, yeah, but I'm ok for the time being :P Ok, I've added 2 more pokemon and all their backsprites (including their original ones). I'm thinking about adding their party sprites too. Would that be good?

I think Proti and minipede are the sprites that have changed the most so far. @DM: I recall rotato being based off of potato bugs. I think it was this one Woodlouse OMG! you put rotate + potato!? my god that is seriously... well actually typical of you.

You're wrong. Proti's sprite has never changed, while Minipede just got a resprite, not even a repose or a revamp. Mesmablob and the Singet family got the biggest changes in design.

I'm pretty sure he was joking.

Not too bad. You pegged quite a few. Astroidus > Asteroid + dust? << Haha, actually just asteroid. This was one that has been named since 4th or 5th grade. Spickle > Spike + Ickle (somthing smallish) Koda > Koala + Coda (I think. A little foggy on this one) Junzu > Jujutsu << I didn't name Junzu. It was a fan submission, so I would say that this makes as much sense as anything. Algar > Alpine + ?? << Haha, er... this one will be difficult to explain. It was taken from a book I really liked. Webtrix > Web + Matrix << I think I just thought the ix sounded cool. Fun fact: Triantuslash used to be a 3-stage family with the first form known as Webster. Parafin > Parasail + Fin << Parasail is actually more creative. I just plucked the first letters from Paradise. Ribian > Rib + ?? << The last part of Caribbean. They don't always have to be word fusions, do they? =P Timbarrow > Time + ? + Roar + Growl/Howl? << Yes, but also a reference to Timberwolves Grugeon > Grudge? << Again, another submission pokemon that I didn't name. I am pretty sure the GEON ending is based on a Sturgeon. Bayleena > Bay + Baleen(Type of whale) << Also, Baleena is part of the scientific name for an extinct species RaphlazE > ?? + Blaze << This was named by one of my old friends. I think the RA is most likely a reference to Racoon. But they are actually red pandas =D Onimark > Remark? << Ominous + Mark Gronimus > Groan? << Groan + Onimous Mog > Bog? << Yes, plus marsh. Marog > Bog? << Corruption of the preevo name meant to syllabically resemble Gog and Magog. Gorva > Larva << Yes, plus Gore Skeever > moSQUITo (the part that sounds like Skeet) << Yes. More specifically a reference to the nickname "skeeter". Skive also means to steal. Pillage > Pillage(to destroy) << Haha, yes. But it is also a nod to the Pill bug Chilibre > Chilli + Macabre << Chilli yes, but the bre is actually pronounced like Lombre. It is supposed to sound mexicano. Plooze > Purple + BOOZE << Haha, weeeell. At the time I really just meant ooze. But yours is better. Cryon > Crag + one << Not really Crag. The Cry is a reference to Cryogenics. Cruo > Crag + duo << In this case the CR is actually referring to Cryogenics, Cruel, and the Portuguese word for raw. Cragon > Crag + Dragon[/quote] << In this case, yes. Crag. Though it still carries the CR freeze reference. On the whole, I'm impressed.

I dunno if Grugeon was originally meant to be a ground type, but if it was that could explain the gr. The world may never know =p
