i was wondering if you make smaller patches with a few updates, maybe more people would play because there will always be something to look forward to. if you have a few patches that are huge and take a while to make, less people would play during the time before the release. just a thought though. ex: v5.09 west russet unlocked more pokemon while fishing small updates will take more time overall but there will be more people playing each day, thus making your game more popular. again just a thought.

Well, right now the plan is to release one MASSIVE update, then after that it will be updated way more frequently, like you suggest. It'll take a while for the big update to be made though (a couple of months or more), but it'll be great when it is.

We will support smaller patches when the game is more complete. It really wouldn't be as great as it sounds if you had to redownload the game once a week just for a few small changes. There are still quite a lot of core features to be added to the game before we focus on bi-monthly content patches and updates.

Although, automatic updates would be pretty cool and would solve that problem.

That would require the ability to download files from the server... and can 39dll support that? cause otherwise that would mean it would need another dll

Yep, it's definitely possible. It might require a separate launcher application from the actual game though.

Which would definately create security problems with some peoples firewalls and stuff. Plus gf already stated his aversion to new dlls with regards to a better sound system. I doubt he'd add one for auto updates :/

You wouldn't need another dll. 39dll can handle that.
