| Hello, this is my first post!
But, lets get down to buissnes. in my experiance the grass starter has an unfair disadvantage. This is that the first enemy pokemon you encounter are grass/flying and have a flying move at low levels. When a lvl 3 uses drift, it does about a 3rd of my pokemons health. This makes it insanely hard to level grind when every battle you have to run to a pokemon center every battle. I blacked out twice before reaching the 2ed town. Of course, on ce you get your flying type to level 7, this isn't much of a problem, but when you first start out its hard doing.
Sorry if im being a troll, and I know I choose grass for a challenge, but i think this is a little much.
Anyone else have opinions?

| yea grass starter is actually good. the fact that you have type disadvantages at the beginning is good as you'll be encouraged to properly level the starter to a point where type disadvantages make little difference. and no matter what starter you choose it's not easy getting to the second town. but you don't even have to mega-level your starter. my starter is only lvl 18 or something whereas my worgeddon is lvl 45.

| hmm. it's easier to start with grass imo. First gym is water. Grass beats water. Second gym is fire and there's a huge variety of water pokemon to destroy that gym. etc. fire's the hard starter :P i had to train my warmy for the frist gym blacking out on purpose >10 times just for the exp.

| Yep. Getting to Farlgrove is hardest with it. From then on, it's easier.

| Yeah man, I'm saying the same thing they are: It's so much easier to start with the Grass Pokemon on this game because of the first Gym.
I'd know because I have a Lvl.33 Serus(2nd stage fire starter) right now as I speak and it was a pain trying to raise it.

Once u get to the second town, Quenxhi can become very useful. If the trainers beat you, you will be encouraged to lvl ur pokemon up in order to beat him. I chose Singet as my starter and I remember I had a very hard time against the guy with the Ribian near Ivory Town. With Quenchi, a grass type, you can get past him more easily. When u get to the gym, u will more likely win with Quenchi.
I had a hard time with Singet but I managed to defeat the gym leader. Now here comes the easy part for grass and water starters: Obsidian and then Argite cave. Well, starting with Quenchi and Urich is easier than starting with Singet. I finished the game and if u have any question PM me.  ]
