| Ok, so here is the deal:
I've got cheat engine on my PC since I was like 11 or something.. (Long, long time ago) And nowadays I barely use it anymore, only to test my own games for cheats, check if I covered them up corretly, etc.. And when I started te beta, it said: You've got CheatEngine installed on your PC, please uninstall! But that's kinda rude, don't you think? And since I won't uninstall CheatEngine, I suggest you only check if cheatengine is RUNNING while the game is running too, I mean, when cheatengine isn't running, it can't do any harm, so why force someone to uninstall something they might prefer to keep, but didn't intend to use on your game?

P.S. This message did have one + though, it reminded me I still had to check some of my games for flaws..
Edit: P.P.S. I really like the YoYoGames version though :) (And I won't cheat on it, because maybe later when trying to play newer versions, you can't, also I never intend to cheat on other people's games, only my own :D) |

| The way to avoid this is to cut the cheat engine folder from program files and paste it somewhere else

| yea, and it is in now way rude to ask you to uninstall it. it's incredibly narrow-minded of you to think that just because you won't necessarily do anything wrong with it that the same applies for everyone else. there's a lot of people who would use cheat engine for the sole purpose to hack games, including pokemon twilight if they wanted to; so it is in no way rude to ask that cheat engine be removed for security issues. try walking into a police station with a loaded gun and see how "rude" they are.

Hehe, I liked your example, but you mis understood me, I don't want to ban the checking, that would expose PT, what we don't want ofcourse, I meant, only check if it is running, maybe someone somewhere knows how to check if a program is running (I belive it can be easely done in C++) and form it into a .dll you an include :)

P.S. @ DM: So it only check the path? Hmm.. I think the problem of havign people to switch path, and still cheat will also be solved when you have a .dll checking for running cheatengines (since that doesn't require a specific path). |

| yea, it would be better to check if cheatengine is running. but I'm not sure if there is a dll like that for game maker and if there is you should suggest is to game fortress |
