Be prepared to see the aforementioned title, every pokemon fan game eventually sees this message, and then all of the work is there upon snatched away with the threat of a lawsuit and jailtime should you try and start it up again.
In otherwords, Take the word pokemon out of your game, take anything related to nintendo out of your game, or be prepared for it to be shut down as soon as it sees the light of day. Its ok to be a clone of pokemon, but the moment you put the word pokemon in your title, your essentially throwing all of your work in the trash bin. |

| We've made it this far without a problem, PT has already seen the light of day with multiple demo releases which were even talked about on the old official nintendo forum. If we ever do have an issue we could remove any mention of pokemon but until then i see no reason to go to that much trouble. We are working on replacing official nintendo sprites with custom ones though, which would be one of the major issues.
As far as I know, not many nintendo fan games have actually recieved a cease and desist. Hacks and fan games that charge money don't count, obviously. Some fan games have faked letters though so that they have an excuse to give up.

| PT isn't commercial anyway. It's not like PT is stealing from Pokemon, making money from it. So Game Freak has nothing to gain stopping PT.

the only time one should ever care is if gamefreak or nintendo or someone sends an email or something stating that they don't like pt and what their demands are to make it suitable (short of removing it).

it's not it's faruse (i think that's what its called) only if it is sold without Nintendo's approval is their going to be a law suit

| As has been stated plenty of times previously, I honestly don't think Nintendo or Gamefreak has the time to care about some fan-game that isn't even making money. They're busy raking in millions of dollars on real games anyway.

UH DUDE.......CHILL OUT ALRIGHT!!! You don't see PT Admin's running around saying that the Pokemon idea was theirs, because if you have seen the beginning credits in the game you should notice the copyright disclaimers that they put up, and they are definitely not forcing people to pay before they play the game. So in my opinion they are not infringing on any copyright at all.

but the donations go to pycoforums, not to gamefreak or pokemon twilight.
and pycoforums needs the money cos the ads just barely make enough profit to keep the forums running. |
