Well. there's huge routes in between cities (route 7/9), which take ages to traverse just by running, so it is useful.

Well if there are going to be routes like that then I guess the bike would be fine. You don't have to use it if you don't want to, maybe making a bike route wouldn't be a bad idea!

I feel like Slatter should be weakened. He is too strong. And i think it is about time for another update. and there is old man in the forest who stares at a tree. and i don't like how trainers notice you even when they aren't looking at you. and there is a fat guy stuck in some trees outside of Mossville (First town). i don't mean to be a pessimist but they are just a few things that need some work. other than that, the game is coming along great. it is one of the best fan-made pokemon games i have ever played. keep up the good work.

I disagree. Slatter should not be weakened due to its rarity.

Rarity doesnt matter unless it is a one of a kind. And even then, because of trading, every pokemon should be balanced.

They have overpowered Pokemon in the official games, too. They're usually either rare, legendary or really difficult to get. And if the concern of having online battles (if the feature was ever implemented) being unbalanced ever became a real problem, you could just categorize the PT Pokemon in tiers, like what they do with competitive battles in the official games.

Just because the official games do something, doesnt mean gf and kabob have to. I mean if all the pokemon were balanced, it'd be much more fun battling because you could use strategies other people hadnt thought of because they hadnt trained a certain pokemon the way you did

True, I was just making a case for keeping Slatter the way it is. But I really could go either way. I personally like to take a Pokemon that's considered "weak" and train it to the point where it can stand up to the strongest of opponents. But balancing the stats would make for equally interesting gameplay.

It really depends on what you go for. As long as there is the ability to make the pokemon equal, then i think the pokemon are balanced enough

It's good to have some weak pokémon as well, as less people bother to train them. When they level up and evolve they become very strong (e.g. dandaloft, magikarp)

You can't really say Dandaloft gets strong by leveling up though... A level 25 Dandaloft can barely beat a level 12 Mant and loses against a level 14 Junzu :P But yeah, I don't see Slatter as overpowered. It looks even weak to me, but that's probably because it doesn't have any evolutionary relatives.

The thing with Slatter is that besides Infection, which is an annoying attack, it doesn't really have any really good moves outside of Dark moves, which it doesn't get until Lv. 16. Slatter's highest stat is Sp.A, and it can't use physical attacks well. In addition to that, Alicia basically destroys Slatter so it can't do much, and Ben is in the same boat. Then you have to consider that Slatter doesn't evolve, and after the 3rd Gym, it'll be lagging a bit stat-wise. So I don't really thing it's OP in-game. Sleaf on the other hand is, 'cause even though it's weak against Alicia as well, it's fast, strong, and can basically OHKO or THKO everything it faces if its moves aren't resisted, which is tough because it gets really good moves early on. Sleaf can even hold its own against Alicia's Brazon (wouldn't bet on it winning though) Slatter doesn't have the stats or the movepool to really be overpowered. Even though it may seem pretty tough when you're on like Lv. 12, when you start training it, it won't really seem that way.
