| As you know, the market is moving towards casual gamers. I myself enjoy casual games...mostly yoyo...and think this change is good. I would like to hear your thoughts on this so go ahead and post.

| I enjoy all varieties of games, Mainly in the Pokemon styled areas but I do go outside my zone so this doesn't really affect me all that much.

| Casual games are simply games that don't have a big story, can start and stop with ease, and non-complex controls.
Hardcore games usually have long storylines, many controls, and are meant to be played for long periods of time without stopping.
In-between...I would say would be all the aspects of casual games except long.
Some examples would be Leviathan by 2DCube for casual, an X-Box game like Halo for hardcore, and Lab 14 by SuperCasey4 for in-between. |

| Really? Halo isn't all that hardcore, I can finish the entire game in 10 hours on heroic now.
Most of the modern FPS games are all really fast to complete, just because they don't want players whining about huge awesome fully scripted and excellently high quality cutscenes taking up all the gameplay time which a lot of gamers still whine about anyway.
Pokemon is leaning towards a casual game, but it has a bit of replay value after the story line is complete so it goes back on the fence. |

Id say its hardcore as the gameplay shifts slowly by adding weapons and enemies and all that stuff, plus 10 hours probably would not be pent on a casual game. |
