| Fire/Ground is an offensive typing, so yeah, it won't be able to wall too well. But yeah you're right actually, the Grass/Dragon guy would be a great partner for it  Kinda hoping it's primarily specially defensive, but with good defensive bulk and a decent (Sp.) Attack score to make it threatening. But yeah, good idea XD

| What's weird though is volket is build like a wall...I suppose it could take hits from physical attackers after a wilowisp-ish attack. I'm hoping its move pool and abilities match it's build, or somehow make its build viable. Because right now, to me I'd lump it in the RU tier |

| Either way. If it's not given a good ability and good support move pool, it's not going to fill the role of bulky fire type very well. Sense RU doesn't exist for PT than. I would put it at the bottom of the barrel for UU. Because there's many other things that look like they could do what volket's build suggests, yet better simply from better defensive typing. And it doesn't help that there's 37 water types and 17 different water type evolution chains in Pokemon twilight |

| One thing for PT 'mon is that they're all supposed to be getting custom abilities. So there's some hope for some of the weaker guys. I myself hate Pokemon that don't have a viable niche - it's better when every Pokemon is useful at something. Gen 5 was probably the closest to achieving that in my opinion - that and the story's probably why it's my second-favorite gen. |

| Well, at least it'll most likely get Lava Plume as an attack, which helps it fish for burns. Maybe it'll even get Recover for a healing move. Regardless, it'll be a decent-to-OK UU 'mon due to its typing. But yeah, lots of waters in the game are gonna require careful use, especially PT's gonna have lots of UU waters (or so it seems). |
