Try learning about image_alpha and alarms or even more easy the quality OBJECT.visible and alarms.

i honestly don't see the other thread. i'm talking about like when Mario collides with an enemy, he will shortly be invincible for a short time flashing (while losing the power-up, but not relevant). i guess adjust the pass through enemies event with a collision event and a timer? |

| You want to create an "invincible" variable and set it to true when he's invincible, and deactivate collision events when the variable is true.
